The food was full of flavour, the drinks list was great, and even with a large booking the staff made us feel welcome. Lucy, the owner, is lovely, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. This was our second visit, and it confirmed what a warm, relaxed local pub Ilchester Arms is. Thanks to the whole team!

We had 60 guests at The Ilchester Arms for our 25th wedding anniversary, and the venue was amazing for the occasion. Soph, Lucy, and the rest of the staff were brilliant, and everyone had a fantastic night. The buffet was perfect. I'd highly recommend it.

That carrot and coriander soup was superb, and the steak stew with pastry bread, peas, and mash was really tasty. I went in for dinner and a Guinness or two, then sat in the cosy beer garden out back. Great service too.

There’s free parking at the back, and the menu has plenty of reasonably priced meals to choose from. Lovely pub, with friendly service.

I had to stay in room 7 on a work trip, with an early start the next morning and no other rooms available. The room is above the rear bar, and there’s hardly any soundproofing. I could hear conversations and doors banging downstairs. I’d expect a hotel room to offer enough sound insulation for a decent night’s sleep. I wouldn’t recommend room 7 and would avoid it.
