Breakfast came with the room, and the eggs Benedict were perfect. We slept well in the quiet room, with a comfortable bed. Since we'd gone all day without eating and didn't want to head out again, we had dinner at the hotel. The food was good and the service great. We'd had a booking mishap elsewhere and arrived at 5:45pm without a reservation. Shaun and the team welcomed us straight away and were very accommodating. Luckily they had rooms, and gave us two good-sized ones with lovely bathrooms. We expect to stay here again next time we're in the area for work.

The staff made us feel welcome throughout, and the award-winning breakfast was a highlight. Our room was stylish and immaculately clean, while the spa was wonderfully relaxing. Lanes Hotel combines modern luxury with warm countryside hospitality. A peaceful getaway, and highly recommended.

There were broken tiles and damp marks on the bathroom ceiling, which we hadn't expected. The rooms also lack USB charging sockets, and the bar doesn't have nearly enough seats. If we'd been told about these things at check-in, it would have been fine. Still, the hotel is very nice overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the location suited our plans that night. We wouldn't rule out booking again.

Our wedding at Lanes on Saturday was beyond perfect. The beautiful hotel and grounds made a lovely setting, and every member of staff was polite and helpful. Our guests commented on how friendly everyone was. The food was AMAZING, and our room was beautiful, spotless and just right for us, with a real sense of luxury. Dylan Johns, our wedding planner, deserves more than five stars. His eye for detail and vision brought everything to life exactly as we wanted. His suggestions worked perfectly, and his friendly, bubbly nature put us at ease from our first meeting right through to the big day. By then it felt like greeting a close friend and fellow wedding guest. We wish we could have the day again and again. I'll miss popping in for wedding meetings, but we'll definitely be regular guests. I can't rate this beautiful place highly enough. Thank you a thousand times!
