The family who run this place are lovely, and the food was fantastic. Our room was clean, spacious and wonderful. It may be tucked away, but it was well worth finding while I was looking for a week-long B&B stay near Carlisle. It's won several awards, and I can see why. My wife and I will stay here whenever we're back in the area.

The house is beautiful, and the garden is gorgeous. Margaret and John made us feel so welcome, with warm, chatty hospitality, and our spacious, spotless room was a great place to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was especially thoughtful. Since I can't have dairy or gluten, they provided special milk, butter and bread, and prepared my meal separately with care. My partner and I had a wonderful stay, and we'd come back if we're in the area. Thanks, Margaret and John.

I'm walking the length of the UK, and the kindness and hospitality I got when I arrived meant a lot. It felt like spending the night with my grandparents. This was my first time in a guest house, and they've set the bar high. Thank you so much 😊

The village was lovely, with amazing views, and we really enjoyed the food and rooms. The host couple were genuinely friendly and charming. This was one of our two favourite places on our UK trip. I only wish we'd stayed longer.
