A short walk from town and the bus and train stations, this family-run B&B is very convenient. I paid £51 for a one-night stay in a single room, including a lovely cooked breakfast. The old building has real character, and my bed was comfortable. The room was quiet, clean and tidy, and the owner, Adele, was so friendly and welcoming. Great value for the cost, and I'll definitely book again when I'm back in Carlisle. Keep up the good work.

Cornerways Carlisle has really gone downhill. The crockery, plates and cutlery all need a proper wash to remove the stains. The bedrooms are nice and clean, but it gets freezing cold at night.

We were pretty much thrown out and accused of not paying, even though we had confirmation and proof that the money had left our account. She demanded £89 from us and threatened us with her kickboxing son. As others have said, she seemed drunk. Please check all the reviews before staying. I don't understand how this place has such good ratings, though we've since been told that this person hasn't been there the whole time. Maybe it's living on past glory. All the fire doors were wedged open. The host was truly rude. Our advice is to stay somewhere else. I wouldn't have given it a star, except I had to.

Good value B&B near Carlisle centre, with clean, quiet rooms and everything you need in them. Adele, the landlady, is friendly, and breakfast was good, especially the sausage. They give you a free parking ticket for the area. No fuss, just great value.

The breakfast was excellent, and the city centre is conveniently close. The room was delightful, with a large bathroom and everything you might need.
