Cumbria Park Hotel

Breakfast was delicious, and I left feeling refreshed and ready to continue my trip. I’d come down from my home in Scotland and chose this as a halfway stop. I paid a little extra for a lovely superior double room, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This is my new halfway stopover, what a great find.

We enjoyed our stay even though reception staff were rude, obnoxious and arrogant, and much less welcoming than on our previous visit. Their attitude really brought down the tone of the place. Thankfully, the hotel and room were immaculate. We’d liked it enough before to come back for another stay.

The staff catered to everything we needed for my Aunt’s funeral tea, and gave us a private room for afternoon tea. There was a great selection of food and endless tea and coffee. The gluten-free afternoon tea far exceeded my expectations. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially Neil. I’d highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sharon and Jody. I think the other person was Keith, who helped with my baggage. I’d have given the hotel five stars, but, as another review mentioned, there was no pen for the notepad and I needed more clothes hooks.
