This guest house is right on Hadrian's Wall, so you’ll sleep where a Roman once slept. The landlord knows the area well and can suggest places to visit and things to see. Breakfast is a full one, enough to keep you going all day if you can manage it. It’s good value and convenient for the city centre, with a bus stop nearby, a nice pub across the road, and takeaways and restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

The house and surroundings were very clean and quiet, and the breakfast was fantastic. The host was so friendly and helpful. It’s ideally located for work near the Borders or the Lakes, and I’ll stay again when I’m back this way.
