The apartment was clean and very welcoming, though it has some general wear and tear. The location is great, with a Sainsburys and a bar within walking distance, plus local places to eat. I wouldn’t recommend the local Indians, the food was rotten. We stayed at the sawmills over the weekend for a friend's birthday trip to carlise. There are signs around the apartment about things people have complained about in earlier reviews. I thought the requests were fair, and people should respect that it’s someone’s property. I’d recommend this apparent to friends, family or anyone reading this review. 🐴

It’s a great home-from-home, clean, tidy and really spacious, with everything you need taken care of. There’s a castle just a stone’s throw away, and it’s an ideal base for sightseeing and exploring. I’d happily recommend the sawmills to anyone staying in Carlisle Or Cumbria.

We stayed for 2 nights and thought the place was brilliant. Our 2 young kids loved it. Carlisle is a great place to explore, with the castle, markets and playpark all must-dos. Highly recommended if you’re passing through, or making the trip home to the Scottish Highlands from sputh england like we were.

The Lake District is right on the doorstep, and the area makes a lovely holiday base. The property is well kept and managed, with new carpets fitted throughout. I’d recommend both the place and its facilities.

It’s an easy walk into town, including the cathedral and castle. The place is clean and comfortably furnished, and while it isn’t fancy, it’s a really good place to stay.
