We spent two weeks in a static caravan. The space was laid out well, with several separate areas, and the hot water was surprisingly hot. We had room to enjoy the site in our own way, but help was always there when we needed it. The other guests we met had nothing but good things to say about the site.

The farm setting was a real highlight. Our caravan pitch sat between two fields, one with sheep and the other with cows and young calves. It was peaceful and felt close to nature. Wild bunnies hopped between the caravans in the mornings, which delighted my city boys, aged 4 and 7. There was a goalpost in the sheep field, so the boys could play football while the sheep watched. Fresh free-range eggs were available in the morning for £1.30 per half dozen in an honesty box, so bring cash. We stayed for two nights in mid-May 2024, on our second caravan trip, and booked an electric touring pitch. The price was excellent at £25 a night. The facilities were basic but clean and well looked after, with everything we needed. I booked by phone, left a message when nobody answered, and Jenny called back within 20 minutes to arrange the pitch. I paid cash the morning after we arrived. The owners were flexible about departure and let us leave around 4 pm without an extra late check-out charge. Jenny and Tommy were lovely, accommodating hosts. On departure day I asked the younger farmer if we could get closer to the barn to see the cows. Instead, he showed us around the whole farm and the enormous bulls. The boys got to sit in a big tractor, which they loved, and he introduced them to his children. They played together on the trampoline in the back garden, shared toys and got to see the chickens up close. We had a wonderful family stay. I highly recommend this little site. It’s a 10-minute drive from the Ingleton Waterfall Trail and within a 30-minute drive of trails leading to the Peaks.

We visited for the first time after someone recommended it, and it was fabulous. The people were lovely, there was a great choice of trees, and the small Christmas Market was lovely too.

So much green and fresh air everywhere. It’s a beautiful setting, with friendly people, comfortable static caravans and roomy touring pitches. It’s a working farm, with all that comes with it.

A lovely little cottage tucked away but still easy to get to, especially if you enjoy running, hiking or mountain biking. The farmer who owns it is a lovely host, and they sell amazing farm-fresh eggs. I’d also suggest visiting Ireby Green Café. We had the most amazing start to Easter. It’s about 30 minutes from the best parts of the Yorkshire Dales, Arnside and Siverdale, Forest of Bowland and the Lake District. Just be careful crossing fields and public footpaths because of the livestock. I wouldn’t recommend bringing dogs, either, with the sheep nearby.
