Margaret was an excellent host and communicated really well. The cabin had plenty of equipment and felt like home, with lots of space for our family of four. The kitchen was excellent, and its electric cooker was much better than others I’ve used in similar places. The shower was great too. It’s a lovely spot in a very peaceful leisure village, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely time relaxing on the balcony, looking out over the pond and the ducks we’d made friends with. No1 retreat was spotless inside, the bed was really comfortable, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Margaret was so helpful and lovely. The location worked perfectly for us, with a short walk to the restaurant/pub and a drive to the zoo and other attractions. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks again, Margaret x

Margaret kept in touch brilliantly, and the clean, lovely lodge made our two-night stay perfect. It’s ideally placed for walks around Windermere and Silverdale. Would absolutely recommend.

The lodge was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed, including free Netflix and wi-fi. Margaret was exceptional at keeping in touch, and the place is super dog-friendly. A great spot for a relaxing break or as a base for exploring the Lake District and surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked again. Inside No1 was nicely presented, with tasteful decor, clean comfortable beds and everything we needed to feel at home. The owner was welcoming and helpful the whole time. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
