We left early, but our stay had already been paid for in advance. We’d been told breakfast would be available from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Coming over from the annex, we found the pub locked, and knocking didn’t get us breakfast. Very disappointing, and I won’t stay there again.

The pub has a fresh, clean feel after a really good refit. There’s a bit of parking at the side and plenty of different beers. Definitely worth a visit.

The service was fantastic, even though the kitchen had only been refurbished four days earlier. The food was good, and nothing was too much trouble. I’d recommend it.
