Ernespie House Hotel

It’s a really quaint hotel and very peaceful. The place is comfortable, though a bit tired, and it’s run well. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There’s a good choice of wines, and the Asian food was fantastic.

The lunch and panto afternoon was brilliant. A great show, lovely food and a welcoming host. I couldn’t find fault with it. Amazing event.

We had an amazing family night out at the Christmas panto. The entertainment was fantastic, and the food was incredible, with enormous portions! 🤩

We had two lovely meals during our two-night stay in April. The fish was beautiful, and the chicken curry was just right for my taste. The owner was very hands on, and all the staff were nice. Our room was a good size, very clean and had tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was clean, though the shower took a while to get hot and kept switching between hot and warm. The location was beautiful and quiet, with a large lawn and benches beside it. On arrival, we parked and had to look for the entrance. The door we took to be the way in could have used a welcome or entrance sign, as it didn’t feel very inviting. The reception desk also serves as the bar and dining area. As our stay went on, we felt the layout could be planned differently, since people checking in or out did so while others were eating, and the rooms are on either side. A nice stop on our journey further north.
