The rooms were clean, comfortable and had what we needed for a restful visit. Staff were welcoming, and parking was straightforward, though it’s shared with nearby shops. That location also puts plenty of affordable fast food within walking distance. We did hear people moving around, especially at night, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Good value overall, with helpful staff and decent amenities.

We booked because the website listed air conditioning, knowing it would be hot today and tonight. It’s over 30 degrees outside, but there’s no air conditioning here. The little fan in our room does nothing, especially with windows that won’t open.

The breakfast staff member’s response to my hearing difficulty was the worst part. I didn’t catch what she said at first, and she spoke to me rudely and condescendingly. It was vile and unnecessary, with no excuse for treating a guest that way. The food was awful too. Breakfast and dinner were both inedible, among the worst hotel meals I’ve had. Premier Inn Catterick Garrison itself smelled bad, felt dirty and seemed poorly maintained, so it wasn’t a pleasant place to stay. I don’t recommend it.

On our third visit, we found the new rooms basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was tasty and nicely laid out. No complaints.

I was surprised there wasn’t a self check-in robot. The staff always seemed rushed and had too many jobs to handle. It’s a reasonable hotel, but I couldn’t control the room temperature, and the shower was rubbish.
