The food was very good, and the local ale was well kept. Prices are on the high side, though as often happens, you get what you pay for. Dogs are very welcome. We enjoyed the comfy, old-world interior and the lovely courtyard garden, which is a real suntrap. The accommodation looked good, but we didn’t stay there. A very nice pub restaurant in a quintessential English village. Heartily recommended.

We went for a weekend meal with the family and sat outside. The waitress was smiley and attentive, and our food and drinks arrived in good time. My fish was beautifully seasoned on the skin and came with a nice sauce and potatoes. The others had beef sirloin, which was delicious, with potatoes that were hot and crispy, a surprisingly rare thing. They also have ice cream for the kids. Really nice service.

We came for a family celebration and spent the weekend here. The rooms were clean, quiet and fantastic, and the pub was beautiful, just like the village. The food was fantastic too, and the delicious breakfast was a real treat. Most of all, we appreciated the friendly service. It made the whole occasion feel special. We loved it. A big thank you to everyone!

The warm, friendly service and quality wines made a cosy meal with friends even better. The food was divine, with so much care put into the dishes and everything cooked perfectly. We all chose different things across three courses, so there was something for everyone. Looking forward to visiting again!

We stayed at the New Inn while in the area for a wedding at nearby Minterne House. I don’t usually write reviews, but they’re doing such a fantastic job that I wanted to say so. The place is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect, and the staff were helpful and cheerful throughout. Honestly, I can’t fault the new Inn. What a pleasure. Thank you!
