Dotty Cottage

Dotty Cottage is warm and welcoming, with everything you need, including all the kitchen amenities and a lovely log fire for cosy evenings. It feels like home and looks just like the photos. It’s easy to find just off the A1, with good access to places like Edinburgh, Alnwick Castle and the Northumberland beaches. Can’t wait to book again in the summer.

The cottage had everything we needed, and the hosts gave us all the information we needed. After a long walk along the coast, the huge fire was lovely. The location worked perfectly for us, with the beach about 10 minutes away and a local pub around a mile away. The food at the pub was delicious and worth a visit. We had a great stay earlier this year and can’t wait to return.

Nothing not to like. Dotty Cottage was lovely, warm and welcoming, and I’d love to come back soon. It’s just off the A1, with Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Holy Island all easy to reach.

We stayed at Dotty during the school holidays. It was easy to find, and the photos matched what was shown online. We had a Wi-Fi problem when we arrived. The owners were helpful in one way, but seemed not to expect anyone to be staying that week, which I think was bad practice since I’d spoken to them the week before to confirm. There weren’t many toys for younger children. The high chair was okay, but nothing special, and the pub definitely wasn’t within a mile.
