We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted somewhere close to eat, so we made a last minute decision to visit the bistro on Sunday night, 15/2/26. From our first call, the service was excellent. The receptionist immediately knew what was on the menu and was very helpful with my many dietary issues. Owen welcomed us when we arrived and looked after both the bar and restaurant. We were the only diners, and the service was still excellent. The meal was freshly cooked to order with fresh ingredients and a delicious seafood sauce. It was delicious, and the wine was the best I had during our stay in Looe. Definitely worth visiting even if you aren’t staying at the hotel.

I’m local and don’t need the hotel, but I had a deep tissue massage with Laura today. I’ve had severe osteoarthritis and pain around the clock for years, and this is the first time I haven’t been in pain. I’m pain free this evening and have already recommended four people to see her. Thank you, Laura. I can’t wait to come again.

The spa and pool were beautiful, calm, clean, and well looked after. There’s a sauna, steam room, hydro pool, jacuzzi, swimming pool, and heated loungers. It wasn’t busy when we went, which was a plus. Hotel staff were polite and friendly, and £10 for a day using the facilities is really good value. We came for the day because the weather was miserable, with heavy rain and wind on and off. The gym was a bit disappointing: the equipment is old and rusty, and kept squeaking, though there were weights and everything we needed for a workout. Bring your own water bottle, as there’s a fountain but no plastic cups. I’d recommend the facilities if you’re looking for something to do. We weren’t staying, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

Our room and its view were amazing. Parts of the hotel have been refurbished, while others feel dated. The leisure facilities were dated too, but adequate. I’d have liked the bar to stay open later.

Breakfast was good, with fantastic views over the bay from the restaurant. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful, and the spa area with its pool and sauna was a real wow. Fantastic hotel, would definitely book again. 10/10.
