Premier Inn Chelmsford - Springfield

Garry from room service was especially kind and efficient. After changing the bedsheets and towels, he came to get me from reception, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was enjoyable too. I was in Chelmsford for a 3D2N conference, and the room was spacious and comfortable. A water fountain for refilling bottles would be useful; there is bottled water in the vending machine and an M&S nearby. Keep in mind there's no fridge or microwave.

The team made the place feel like a home away from home, and I was treated with care and dignity as an elderly guest. I stayed with my daughter, and they looked after us so well. While we waited for our room, my daughter was even given a Guinness on the house.

She got us checked in and settled quickly, and made us feel very welcome. On Friday the 23rd, the woman at reception handled an unfortunate situation that was completely outside her control with an impressive amount of calm and professionalism. She stood her ground firmly but calmly for the guests when dealing with a rather aggressive off-site contractor. I hope she knows she made our evening, and deserved a big glass of wine when she got home.

No air conditioning, but the rooms come with a powerful fan. The hotel itself is modern, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, the best Premier Inn breakfast we've ever had.
