The riverside view was lovely even in November, and the covered outdoor seating, heaters and blankets made it comfortable enough that we stayed longer than we meant to. The pub itself is beautiful, with old photos, charming décor and a welcoming feel. We enjoyed our food and drinks, and the staff were kind and helpful. Coming back with my sister meant a lot. We grew up visiting this place when it had a little indoor play area, watched it change through different pub styles, and somehow never returned. This time we came in memory of our mother, who grew up in Chertsey. Parking was easy and felt secure, just remember to ask for your chip before leaving or you can't get out. We’ll definitely be back.

We had 35 adults and children together for my daughter's fifth birthday and our group of friends' Christmas celebration, and it all went brilliantly. The riverside setting gave us a great atmosphere, the food was delicious, and we hired an entertainer for the children, who loved it. The staff were friendly, accommodating and made sure we had what we needed. It felt like they could do anything for us. A lovely spot for an occasion or celebration, and just as suitable for a casual meal. Thank you!

We found our new place to stay when we visit the UK. It’s an ideal spot for river and country walks, and Chertsey town is an easy walk away. Our room was cosy, stylish and had a river view. The staff were warm and friendly, with great service. The bedside lights could be more practical, with substance over style, and I hope they get fixed.

We were impressed by how helpful everyone was, from the waiter checking the cheapest taxi fare to the station during breakfast to the staff making sure guests were happy. The food was a good, well-cooked range and served with a smile. There were plenty of real ales and a thoughtfully chosen wine list, too. The clean, modern room was comfortable and suited us perfectly for a night after walking around RHS Wisley on our four-day trip to Poole, the gardens and London. We also appreciated being able to leave the car in the secure car park while we took the train to London for Lion King. If we're down from Yorkshire again, we'd be glad to stay here.
