We couldn't wait to go home. This place ruined our mini break, and the sofa had bad stains as well. The loud road noise and constant church bells kept us from sleeping for two nights. I got only 3 hours and 20 minutes on the first night. My partner moved into the twin room with our boy, while the squeaky staircase woke everyone when I got up because I couldn't sleep. We walked around Chester like zombies the next day, cancelled our evening meal plans, and went back to the house by 4pm to try to recover. Around midnight, someone arrived at the next door cottage at 7 Overleigh cottage, Handbridge in Chester, slammed the door, then spent about two hours making loud moaning and headboard banging sounds right next to our main bedroom. It left nothing to the imagination. One person left around 2am, and the second followed four minutes later, slamming the door and locking up. It was weird, and presumably the place was being used for this after a night out. I know noisy neighbours can't always be helped, but this was weird and I'm not happy.
