The council offered us the option to return, but after what happened, we refused. This was a very negative stay, and I wouldn't recommend the place. The beds were uncomfortable and unhygienic, and I ended up spending £250 of my own money on a new mattress topper so I could get some proper rest. I was told I could leave it there, then later told it had been thrown away. Since it was brand new and cost a lot, that felt completely unfair and unacceptable. To me, the way this was handled came across as dishonest and untrustworthy. Staff, including the manager, were repeatedly rude and unhelpful, making an already difficult situation worse. The accommodation's condition was unacceptable, and so was the way we were treated.

We were placed here because we were homeless, and the staff made it feel like home. Everyone treated us with respect and helped where they could. The rooms weren't especially clean, but they were liveable for a few weeks. The sign-in and sign-out process and handing in your room key worked very well. It helped keep people safe, and eased my anxiety because I knew they wouldn't let just anyone in.

We came to Britain from Ukraine, and the Quarters Hotel was the best thing that happened to us here. The staff were very pleasant, always smiling and ready to help. The hotel could perhaps do with better cleaning or carpet renovation, but overall it's a good place. The children's activities are simply excellent, with a range of things for them to do. Breakfast is available. Thank you for your support and help 🇺🇦

Please note, the pictures aren't mine. I used Google images to show the building. This hotel houses people who are homeless. A family member and their children recently became homeless through no fault of their own, and we were grateful when the council offered this as emergency accommodation. The place could use a thorough deep clean. Some staff are friendly, while others can be rude and seem to lack empathy for people's situations. Visitors who don't live there aren't allowed in. Facilities are very limited, and the place seems poorly run and disorganized, with everything shared. Sometimes it's difficult to get the kitchen or laundry keys because residents keep them in their rooms. The top-floor rooms seem to have a distinct drain smell. There are also sometimes problems on the street, with local drug users using doorways as toilets or fights happening there. It looks nothing like the pictures, which I feel were taken when it was new.

I'm having a lovely time here. Everyone staying at this fantastic hotel has been extremely friendly, polite, clean and generous. It's about halfway between the train station and town centre, which could make it the best place to stay in the whole city.
