We were eight family members visiting Stirling in June and staying next door to this pub. On Sunday, our first night, we thought they served food. The very friendly, helpful owner explained he’d just bought the pub and was renovating the kitchen. He let us order food from another restaurant in town and eat it in the pub, and provided plates and cutlery. The staff were friendly and the customers welcoming. Highly recommend it. The owner said they’d be offering food in a month or so.

It’s a great bar, an old-style place with good food, wine, and beer. The staff are great and it’s good value. It’s local to us, so we’ll certainly be back. I don’t know why we hadn’t been before!

The macaroni and halloumi burger were both outstanding. We started with black pudding and haggis bonbons, which were fresh, hot and really tasty. My husband and I came in for an early dinner and loved the food. The chef and the waiting and bar staff were so helpful. Thanks for a great meal 😃

We stopped in for a pint on Friday evening and were made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. The pub has a traditional bar area as well as a cosy restaurant side, which we liked. There was a dinner menu and a bar snack menu, and the food looked good. We'll come back and try some if we're in the area again.

William even escorted us to our B&B, and Lisa found us somewhere to stay for the night. Everyone in the pub was so kind and spent ages talking with us. This is where my Mum, Jean Anderson, grew up, and I came hoping to find her house. The locals helped me piece together her history and shared lots of information. It felt like stepping back in time. Mum is 88 and doing really well, and she was thrilled to hear everything I found out. I loved every minute there. Thank you all.
