The Forth Inn

We stayed three nights and had dinner here twice. Both evening meals were really tasty, especially the salmon pasta and the fish with its lovely light beer batter. The staff were friendly and helped us find a safe, dry spot for our bikes. Some parts of the rooms felt a bit tired, but everything was clean. Thanks again, we had a lovely last evening playing Scrabble and listening to Peat and Diesel!

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation, as they turned several people away even though some tables stayed empty the whole time. They had reserved signs on them. Our meal was delicious and filling. The staff were quite casual, both in how they dressed and how they spoke to customers, so it could be hard to tell them from the other diners.

It can get a little draughty if you're sitting near the door, but the place still feels warm and welcoming, and the locals seem to love it. The staff were very friendly, dogs are more than welcome, and there are plenty of treats for them. The atmosphere is really comforting, and the food was tasty with generous portions.

A family and dog friendly pub and restaurant with a nice atmosphere, good food and a good range of drinks. I've been coming for years, and it's popular with tourists as well as locals. The pint let it down a bit because it was slightly flat and came in the wrong glass for the brand. Otherwise, all good.
