The Old Tram-House Apartments

If you're going to Stirling, try to book this place. It's very comfortable and has everything you need for a stay.

The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. We stayed at the Old Tram House on a friend's recommendation, and the good reviews proved right. It was our first stop while travelling through Scotland, where we picked up our rental car. The room was lovely, and our very large, beautiful bathroom was across the hall and just for us. Breakfast was delicious, with Scottish breakfast, fruit, snacks and juice. We sat around the big table with the other guests and got to chat a little. The service was really, really nice, and we briefly met the owner's adorable little dog. The owner was accommodating and kind, gave us parking advice and made helpful recommendations. The B&B has a lovely boutique, Victorian look, with beautiful decor and a lounge room. The city centre is within walking distance, and Stirling Monument and Stirling Castle are walkable too, though an easy drive away. It's a very good place to stay in Stirling, and I'd happily recommend it. :)

The owners have clearly put so much love into restoring this 1870's tram house, once the station and stables for a horse-drawn bus that went around Stirling. The cabinetry, woodwork, antiques and decor are gorgeous. It's easily the cosiest, sweetest place we've stayed in Scotland. Book before all those glowing reviews push the price up!

Alison and David are lovely, friendly owners who respond quickly when something comes up. It's a spacious place with the feel of an Airbnb, though it's actually in the mainstream accommodation market. The location is decent, but not especially convenient: town is a half-hour walk away. The bus is easy to get to, and there's a convenience store nearby for most things you might need.
