Graham was warm and welcoming, replied promptly and was happy to help with extra requests. The room at The Bunkroom was neat and well maintained, and the location is super close to the train station, so it's very accessible. I booked because it was cheap while travelling alone to Chester, but it didn't disappoint. A very pleasant stay, and I'll stay again.

The owner told me, “If I’ve not had payment by 1pm I’ll assume you’re not staying tonight. We’ll take your luggage out of your room and resell the room. You can have your luggage back once you’ve paid.” That was exactly the massage I got, just because the owner didn't wait at the door to collect the money as we'd discussed at the start. As an overseas traveller, how would you feel?

A hidden gem in Chester City, with a good location and all facilities nearby. Graham is a warm-hearted, helpful gentleman. The room and bathroom were clean and the people friendly. I'll book it again without hesitation.

The place was clean and well looked after, with a decent kitchen and a nice outdoor space. Its location made it easy to explore Chester city centre, too. My brother booked the Bunk Room for a race weekend, and Graham managed to fit our fairly large group in, which we felt very lucky about. It was just what we needed and lived up to expectations. The micropub across the road is worth a visit. For basic accommodation without extra frills, it's hard to find better. I'd happily stay again next time I'm in Chester.
