Church Villa B&B

On my second visit, it felt like a home from home again. The owners were so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and more. I had a spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed, a hot shower, and a lovely open fire in the living room. Breakfasts were fabulous. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Hillary & Graham were so friendly and keen to hear what we’d been up to. They also suggested places to visit. Our room was delightful and full of character, and they couldn’t do enough for us. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

There are lots of books to browse on the Peak District and nature, and breakfast was top class. The hosts were friendly, and we were greeted with tea in the lovely garden when we arrived. Our bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and there was a chair by the window where I could read privately and relax. There’s also a lounge downstairs. The three guest rooms are upstairs in this old house, so you do hear a little noise, though everyone kept quiet at bedtime. A great B&B near Hardwick Hall, what more could you ask for?

Graham and Hilary made us feel very welcome, and had already sent suggestions for places to eat before we arrived. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was preordered. We had drinks and biscuits in the bedroom, plus a sitting room downstairs for guests. It was very quiet, and we slept brilliantly. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. I’d highly recommend it.
