The staff were a real highlight of our three night birthday weekend at Mill Rythe. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, happy and incredibly helpful. I can't remember the reception team's names or the people in The Missing Squirrel, but they were all brilliant. Jordan and Lauren from the entertainments team deserve a special mention for making us feel welcome from the start with their energy and friendliness. Our caravan was fantastic, clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the hot tub was perfect for unwinding, so we were glad we paid extra. We had fun trying axe throwing on the last day, a great way to finish the trip. The swimming pool felt a little small when it was busy, but we enjoyed it when things were quieter. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely come back.

The food at the Missing Squirrel was magnificent, with generous portions and delicious produce, and it was priced really well. The waiting staff served it with a friendly smile and a can do attitude that made us feel welcome. Our lodge was a good size, comfy, homely and really clean. The hot tub was worth every penny and left us relaxed each time we used it. It was a safe, welcoming place for a family stay, with a nice pool and friendly, helpful staff. The only holiday niggles I could think of were the potholes on the main road down and speed bumps that need repainting so they're easier to see. I'd 100% return. Thanks to all the staff for making a great family memory. The Youldon -Piercy family.

The friendly reception staff even sent us off with Haribo, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed The Missing Squirrel pub, and The Green Room had fun activities, bingo and a fantastic entertainer. Nearby coastal pubs had great views, one with ferries to the Isle of Wight and another near Space Island with peaceful scenery. There's also a shopping outlet near Spinnaker Tower for a quick visit. The swimming slots had to be pre-booked, which was tricky, so we didn't get to go. We stayed in a clean 8-berth luxury caravan, but the rooms were small and didn't feel cozy. The bathroom sink clogged on the first day and drained poorly, and there were no basics like salt, sugar or handwash. We got a broom but no dustpan, and there was no first aid kit. We paid £10 for birthday decorations for my birthday and my husband's the day before, but they forgot to put them up. After travelling so far to celebrate, that was really disappointing. Mill Rythe is budget-friendly and seems good for families, but as a couple we didn't find it relaxing or luxurious. Bring your own essentials. We left disappointed, which was a shame.

The grounds are fantastically maintained, and the sea wall is a great spot for early morning sunrise walks. The swans are so friendly. We loved our first stay here, with plenty of space all around. Our exclusive burst of blue accommodation was wonderful, with ambient lighting, a dishwasher and ensuite bathroom. The 'club house' felt more like a boutique bar and restaurant.

The swimming pool was lovely and warm, and both times I booked a slot I had it to myself. We had a mini break in a nice, clean and tidy caravan with a hot tub. The on-site pub and restaurant were fantastic for evening entertainment, with music, bingo and a race night. The food itself was very bland, though, and expensive, so I wouldn't eat there again. If we didn't live so far away, I'd come back in a heartbeat.
