The Maharaja looks like a lively spot on a Friday, judging by the bar, so we’ll try a couple of pints at the Inn next time. We’d already had a few takeaways since moving to the village, and finally sat down for a meal. My duck curry was fantastic, and my wife said her vegetable curry was the best she’d tried. We’d happily recommend it.

Kim made breakfast especially memorable. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and the cooked breakfast was the best we’ve had for quality, presentation and taste. We also enjoyed excellent curry and service at the Indian restaurant on site. The pub was cosy, and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. It’s a lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful country village.

We got good value for money in this lovely little Cotswolds village. The staff kindly let us leave our bikes in a shed out of the rain overnight. Breakfast was good, and the room was very good for the price. Downstairs, the bar has big screens showing sports and a friendly atmosphere.

The welcome at the Volunteer was lovely when I arrived for house hunting in Chipping Camden. I was given an upgrade to a room with an ensuite, which was nice. I also had a delicious curry at the Indian restaurant at the back of the pub, and it was excellent value.

My wife and daughter stayed for three nights, and we were glad we chose this Inn. The pub downstairs had the English feel an American could hope for, with a good selection of English cask ales. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning, and they could provide a cot for our little one.
