Merrymouth Inn

We chose the Merrymouth for Christmas lunch because the menu looked great and cost much less than some other places. From the warm welcome and mulled wine through to the excellent carvery, it was brilliant. There was plenty of hot, delicious food, all locally sourced, and the service was very good as well. We’ll definitely be back for the Sunday carvery. Well done to everyone, and thank you!

The Sunday Carvery was fresh, cooked perfectly, hot and plentiful. I had the standard meal, which was more than enough for me. Everyone we met on staff was cheerful and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The place was spotless too. I’ll be returning, and would highly recommend it.

The Cotswold Merrymouth is quickly becoming one of our favourite spots for a Sunday carvery. Sometimes it’s nice to enjoy a roast without having to cook or wash up. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the locally sourced food is cooked beautifully. There’s a 10% discount for locals on all food and drinks, too. It’s refreshing to find somewhere with great food, a lovely atmosphere and fair prices in a part of the Cotswolds full of poncey, arty, overpriced restaurants. Nothing pretentious here, and we never feel ripped off.

We stayed for a weekend break and the Merrymouth Inn staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. Our room was clean and comfortable, and though the WiFi was a bit slow, it wasn’t a big issue. The food was excellent, if a bit more expensive than we’re used to in the Midlands, but worth it. Staff also gave us great recommendations for local attractions. We’d happily recommend the inn and look forward to visiting again.
