The Swan At Choppington

This was easily the best place we stayed during our six-week holiday. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for light self-catering, including a toaster, microwave and fridge. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a first-class place to stay. We'd love to come back, though it's a bit far from New Zealand! The hosts were friendly and courteous, and were available if I needed anything, though I didn't. My room at Swan Studios was spotless and had excellent facilities, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and condiments for my stay. The bed was comfortable and the duvet nice and warm. Happy to give it 5* +, and looking forward to staying again in May/June.

The room temperature was easy to control, and the radiators and towel bars warmed up quickly. There was a handy little radio, comfortable beds, and a first-class bathroom and shower. The kitchen area was excellent, with a table and stools, while the sitting area had two easy chairs and a good-sized TV with storage drawers underneath. Recently refurbished throughout to a very high standard, this studio has plenty of space. The large entrance area has a fitted doormat and room for outdoor shoes and other kit. This was my second visit, and it was good to see this small business still doing well in good hands.

The mattress was the best I've ever slept on, and the owners were really helpful and informative. The place was clean and comfortable, with lots of little extras that made it feel like home. My recent stay at the Swan Studios was fabulous. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area now, and I'd definitely recommend it.
