There are lots of places to explore nearby, and the beaches are only a short drive away. It’s a great area for walkers and families. The cottage was beautifully appointed and absolutely spotless, with a lovely surprise gift of biscuits.
It’s wonderfully secluded and peaceful, with lovely decor and plenty of character despite the recent refurbishment. The neighbouring kennels and the fact it’s right on a through road are possible downsides. There’s little to no mobile service inside, so it works well for a disconnected break. Go for a walk and you can reconnect with the world around you.
The cottage was lovely, clean, and well equipped. We’d hoped for more peace, though. There’s a dog boarding kennel opposite, and it got noisy at times. We have two dogs of our own, so it’s not that we’re anti-dog!
Aberaeron is about 10 minutes away by car, and there are pubs and restaurants not far off. The countryside around this place is beautiful, and it was fantastic to stay here.
