Livvy was the highlight of our afternoon tea on the 3rd of December. She was looking after us and several other tables by herself, and was a delight, friendly, warm and chatty. A credit to the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food, which was great quality and nicely presented, and the service. The room was warm and comfortable. Parking on site is convenient, though a little expensive.

The rooms were really quiet and the beds very comfortable. The location is brilliant, with the restaurant and bar easy to get to, plus the Hideout pub right out front. The TVs are a bit old, but that wasn’t a deal breaker.

My family and I loved this quaint hotel, with heaps of history in its walls. We stayed btw 1-6 Jan 2025. The staff were so warm, especially Molly, who was always on point. Caris was nice too, hope I spelt that right. And the gentleman on evening duty, whose name I never got, tried his beat to get me hot milk even though the kitchen was closed. I hope they get a nice little bonus!

The Chefs Tasting Experience on Saturday evening was absolutely fantastic. The menu was well thought out, the food beautifully presented, and the wine flight tasty. We started with a cocktail in Brazz, which made for a perfect start to a great evening. We stayed the weekend.

The Castle is a nice place for a reunion with friends, and the hotel sits right in the heart of town, near the main Somerset County Cricket Ground. The staff are helpful and nice, and will help you out if you ask. It also seems like a lovely romantic place for a couple, though I’m single at the moment.
