We had dreadful weather all week, but still got to visit some spectacular dams after all the rain. The cottage has everything you need, with a stunning location and garden, and lovely owners. Llandovery isn't too far away, with a leisure centre pool, some nice breakfast spots, takeaways and a supermarket. We stayed for a week and loved it. We'll definitely come back.

We loved the cottage and its beautiful surroundings, and wished we'd booked more time. The walk one way down the lane leads to the village pub, where we had an excellent Sunday lunch. The other way takes you along a centuries-old drovers' track to a lovely, slightly mysterious river glen. It feels like you can hear the history in the wind. We spent four nights at Pant Y Bryn Bach while visiting family in Wales and taking a few days' holiday. The hospitality was lovely, and everything was well organised and clean. The carefully chosen furnishings and fittings gave it an authentic feel, and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a few treats.

The open fire spat out a piece of wood and burned the carpet. There wasn't a companion set to pick up the debris, so I had to use kitchen oven gloves. The owners charged £150 to replace the old fireplace carpet. How are you meant to pick up hot bits without the proper tools?

We wanted somewhere quiet, and this cottage was peaceful and away from noise, with amazing views. It's very well equipped, and the hosts were excellent. We've just come back from a month-long stay, our second visit, and would happily return when we can. I'd highly recommend it.
