The Ned

The spa at The Ned feels like stepping into another world. Everything from the changing rooms to the pool is exceptional, and it doesn’t feel like an ordinary spa. Every detail throughout the hotel seems thoughtfully designed, from the rooms and lovely interiors to the restaurants downstairs, atmosphere and grand entrance. The service is seamless and housekeeping impeccable. The Ned is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If I were a hotel, I think I’d be The Ned. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a truly magical experience, like a whole other world opening its doors for you.

The lobby, bars and restaurants were bustling, but our room was very quiet. The hotel is superb, beautifully appointed, and the staff were helpful and professional throughout. Access to the pool and spa depends on how you book and is at the reception team’s discretion. We received it as an upgrade and really appreciated that.

We had a wonderful brunch to mark our golden wedding anniversary, joined by our youngest son, who was visiting from Switzerland. The food, service and atmosphere were superb, and I can’t fault a thing. Coming by Underground? Take exit 9 at Bank, which brings you out just 50 feet from the front door.

The rooms are on the small side, so they’re best for sleeping and keeping your things if you plan to spend time out and about. For that, this is a good hotel to choose. It’s trendy and right in central London, making it a handy base for work or sightseeing. There’s a lively feel, with live music in the lobby, a nice pace and energy, good restaurants and excellent service. The basement gym is a bonus.
