We only managed one night at Tigh An Truish, but we'd gladly detour to stay again. The evening meal and breakfast were among the best food we had on our trip, and the whole place is special: immaculate, comfortable rooms, thoughtful decor, a stunning setting, and wonderful people. It's far enough from the daily hustle to feel peaceful, and even the couple of locals we met were as friendly and hospitable as our hosts. The staff welcomed us as soon as we arrived and showed us to a spotless, beautifully planned, well appointed room. It's hard to find fault. Thanks to everyone there.

We tried the five-course mystery menu and loved it. We had the fancy meal in the pub area with our dog, and it was fantastic. This place was a lovely hidden gem we'd never heard of before. If we lived nearby, we'd be here every weekend.

Delicious food for a great price, and the staff and locals are super friendly. What a wonderful pub, the kind every village should have. Can't wait to go back.

The staff are lovely, and most of the other diners were nice too, but I'd get lunch somewhere else if you can. Sunday lunch cost £22 for a very average meal. The beef was like leather, the mash was about a teaspoonful, and the red cabbage was very sugary. I've had much better meals for under £20.

We had a lovely evening meal near the water and bridge, with three courses and wine as a small family. The food was excellent, the wine paired nicely, and the service was friendly and attentive. I also liked the small menu, which makes choosing easier and should mean less food waste than at other restaurants. Can highly recommend it.
