The room was quiet, with clean, comfortable beds, and the bathroom looked brand new and was immaculate. It's dog friendly and handy for the motorway. Cleckheaton itself felt a bit depressing on a dreary autumn evening, though maybe it's nicer in better weather. Food nearby is mostly takeaway or fast food. For a stop on the way north, the hotel is fine for the price.

Shazia was especially kind and attentive, checking that we were comfortable and looked after. The service was excellent throughout our visit. Gomersal Lodge Hotel and Marquee sits in a peaceful, scenic setting, with green spaces to wander, a charming deck for tea, and plenty of parking. The whole place feels welcoming and calm. A lovely hidden gem.

A lovely atmosphere at this venue, with greenery all around. The waiters and other staff were so lovely, and Shazia was a wonderful hostess, making the rounds to check that every guest was okay. Five stars, thank you.

I have a lot of fond memories here after staying for more than nine years, first every week for four years, then occasionally after Covid. The new owners have made the service feel impersonal and poor, which was a real disappointment. I've asked my team to raise my concerns directly with management, but I'm not sure they'll listen. It feels like a very sad day for me.

We had spectacular views and lovely scenery, and the good weather was a bonus. The venue made our engagement day extra special. It's perfect for a small engagement or birthday party and can host up to 500 guests.
