We were very pleased with our stay from 15th to 17th August. I was there with my 8 year old son and my dad, and we booked two rooms. Mine and my son’s was spacious, with a comfy bed, a big wall-mounted TV and our own en-suite bathroom and shower. Dad’s room also had lots of space, two single beds and a sink. Both rooms had a kettle, coffee and somewhere to hang clothes. One of the hosts even brought us a mini fridge. The hosts were lovely, and the nice lady who answered the doorbell came straight away and helped us to our rooms. It was quiet inside. We could hear people at the pubs down the road, but it quietened down around 11 or 12, and it didn’t bother us. The station, beach, food places and entertainment are just across the road. I’d definitely recommend booking here. Thank you!

They confirmed my booking and then cancelled it for no apparent reason. This place is a joke. With so many one-star reviews, they clearly don’t care. Stay away.

The room was decent and the housekeeper was nice, cleaning it every day. We were in a front room, but could barely see the sea. For the price, it felt a bit much, especially as the area wasn’t the greatest, though the beach really was only a two-minute walk away. The shower was partly broken, the room locks were a bit of a pain, and a broken light kept flashing. The toilet didn’t work at all. We had to use the toilet brush to push the paper down, which was ridiculous. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, and not a good one. Breakfast had been mentioned, but it wasn’t included. The body wash smelled really good, and the fridge and kettle were the only other somewhat decent things. The fridge was so cold it froze my ham and cucumber. Even with the beach so close, I’d recommend staying somewhere cheaper.

The kitchen is great, with lots of room and a pool table, and breakfast was good, cooked just how you like it. The rooms were comfortable and had storage space. Staff were friendly and chatty, and even the locals were nice. You’re close to the beach and right next to the train station, with town just a two-minute walk away. It’s a nice place to stay, and I’d come back. Definitely five stars.

The cleanliness was shocking. The shared bathroom was so bad I wouldn’t let my dog use it. At 7:49 in the morning, staff hired to keep the place “clean” came in talking nonsense and woke me up. Noisy guests kept us awake until a ridiculous hour, then maintenance woke us again first thing. Avoid this hell hole at all costs.
