The garden was a big bonus for our family of four at Broughton Craggs. The kids had a brilliant time running around and rolling down the hill. Friday's deal was great too, with two mains for £20 and kids' meals at £1 each. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We stayed one night and were pleased with it. Our host, who I think was called Dan, was helpful throughout. Food and drink were very reasonably priced for a hotel, and both the evening meal and freshly cooked breakfast were very good value. We'd stay again.

I'm not usually keen on Sunday roasts, mostly because of the meat, but the tender, soft meats here won me over. You can choose two meats, and there's a lovely selection of vegetables and sides to go with them. My partner and I were very satisfied with the Sunday dinner and the service. We'll be back.

I only messaged to ask about a possible booking and didn't stay at the hotel, but I was taken aback by how dismissive the staff were. They were incredibly obstructive and frankly rude. Maybe they should rethink being in hospitality.

This is my second stay, and I'll be coming back. The staff are great, the food is great, and the portions are too big! The rooms are comfortable.
