Cold Aston worked really well as a base for visiting the must-see villages, towns, and sights, and the local pub is just a short walk away. It serves drinks only, but it was a lovely place for a pint or glass of wine after a long day out. We spent four nights there in late May, three friends together, and had a fabulous time. The Coach House is a gorgeous golden-stone property, beautifully decorated and updated with the important modern comforts while keeping its authentic feel. It’s incredibly comfortable and looks like it belongs in a magazine. Peter was so welcoming and quick to respond whenever we asked for anything. We were delighted with our choice and would put it at the top of our list for another visit.

Peter made us feel very welcome and did all he could to make the stay enjoyable. The property is beautiful, and the renovation is finished to a really high standard. We loved staying there.

We felt at home straight away and loved staying at The Coach House. It’s in a quiet Cotswold village, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. The restoration and decor are tasteful, the place was spotless, and the beds were so comfortable with crisp linen. The bath was a dream, and we spent many evenings by the fire. Peter gave us a warm welcome and went out of his way to make Christmas special, sharing local recommendations, inviting us to Christmas celebrations, and even helping with the tree. So glad we found this Cotswolds gem.

Peter was wonderful, even posting back a shirt we’d accidentally left behind without asking for anything in return. We hope to visit again. The Coach House in Cold Aston has been restored and decorated with remarkable care. You notice the details in every room, from the TV hidden in built-in joinery to the restored original radiators and limewash walls. They all help make the place feel cosy and authentic.

With our four-month-old, we spent a glorious long weekend catching up on sleep and taking walks nearby, with stops at the local cafe and village pub. It was just the right retreat for our little family, and we want to come back as soon as we can. Thanks, super host Peter!
