We booked Nine Yards Bell tents in Port Stewart at a reasonable price so we could attend The Open golf at Port Rush and walk to everything we planned to do. Instead, at the last minute, the location was moved to Coleraine, several miles away. We didn't get what we'd paid for, and the change ruined our planned weekend. Being offered a full refund a few weeks before the event was no use, since there was no way we'd find accommodation near Port Rush at such short notice. We won't use their services again.

The beds were lovely and comfortable, the showers were good, and we were glad to have an inside toilet. Staff were friendly and helpful, and transport worked well once an initial problem was sorted. The food and the lack of a bar let the site down. There was only one food outlet, the quality wasn't great, and dinner had just one dish to choose from. Breakfast took far too long because everything was cooked to order, and it was overpriced. There was nowhere nearby to walk to for food. We also would have liked a bar where we could meet people. I spoke with Joy about all of this, and she assured me the issues would be addressed next year. We’ll definitely consider staying again for the Open at Royal Birchwood. It must have been frustrating for them to have their original site, with excellent facilities and location, withdrawn at the last minute.
