The room was lovely, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits provided. There was also a powerful shower, complimentary toiletries and dressing gowns. I slept wonderfully, and it was very peaceful. On arrival, the receptionist was friendly and showed us to our room. Thank you for everything. X

We’d go back. The room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant food was great. All the staff were lovely, especially the duty manager, who was so friendly and accommodating. A taxi into Chichester town centre cost £8.

The breakfast was splendid, and we had a very nice stay, but the price was high enough that we probably wouldn’t return. It was also noisier than I expected because of traffic from the road. The Nespresso coffee maker was a nice touch.

The restaurant is pretty, with lovely views, and the staff were nice. We didn’t eat there, though a family member did and found breakfast very costly at £25 per person, not included in the room price. We won’t be rushing back, and our family felt the same. The room was overpriced and, for less money, we felt you could get the same room standard at a Travelodge. Our room, number 14, smelled strongly of damp or mould, and the bedding felt wet from the damp. Light from the footpath came in over the top of the curtain. The room was chilly in December because the heating didn’t come on until 8am and couldn’t be turned on manually. We couldn’t open a window because of noise from people on the footpath and from the road. Those things together kept us awake. The headboard, phone and lamps were also filthy and covered in dust.

The bathroom was nice, with a good shower and underfloor heating, and breakfast was really good, which made up for some of the room issues. The radiators had been turned off, and the desk and chair weren’t right for working. It was also a bit cramped. For the cost, I thought the room would be better.
