Sandhole Farm Guest House

I stayed here for a friend’s wedding. It’s a beautiful venue with lovely rooms, and breakfast the next morning was nice. I’d definitely recommend it.

The venue was lovely, and everything at the wedding we attended was great. But breakfast was an extremely disappointing end to the visit after a lovely wedding and a night of drinking. The service was atrocious. The waitress was lovely, but seemed unable to serve more than one table at a time. She’d take one order, serve that table, then move on to the next, which left everyone extremely annoyed. We weren’t even given a menu. I asked for one twice, and the second time the answer I got was, “full English”. Surely there’s more than that?

Sandhole Farm has so much genuine character, and it feels warm and welcoming from the start. As a wedding photographer, I love working there. It’s become part of the love story, giving each moment I capture more meaning.

The hall is a good size, there are plenty of rooms, and the staff were all really friendly. The owners were also happy to accommodate all kinds of requests from the wedding party. It’s a lovely setting, though a bit of a trek from Central Manchester. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for an upstairs room, since some "friends" can stomp around.
