We went with family on Mother’s Day 2018. It was busy, but the layout meant we didn’t feel crowded, and the staff were cheerful and gave good service. The food was great, with the usual roast dinners and a couple of vegetarian choices. A smart little pub with a large free car park, nicely situated between Weston super mare and Bristol.

We were a large group, but the food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed it. The deviled chicken liver was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, if liver’s your kind of thing. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there’s a huge garden at the back where you can eat. Absolutely fantastic venue.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and they arrived after only a short wait. For six of us, ranging in age from 12 to 77, it worked out at about £20 per person including dessert, so excellent value. We were there for my father-in-law’s birthday. My wife and I were especially glad to see so many vegetarian options on the tapas / mezzo menu. The service was very friendly, and there was a good selection of wines.

The food and drink were great, with a wide menu and some really tasty dishes. I was there for one night while away on business, and the room was a bit disappointing. It was cold when I arrived, the TV was very small and didn’t work, and the shower needed a deep clean because of some mold spots. The shower door was also slightly off its runners.
