The location was good, and breakfast was very good. We stayed one night and managed to park outside. The room was on the small side but fine, with a clean, well finished bathroom and really comfortable beds. My only gripe was that some local teenagers seemed to hang out at the Donald Campbell memorial opposite and were noisy late into the evening. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but it did spoil things a bit.

The breakfast has plenty of choice and they’ll happily change things around for dietary needs, which suited mine. Staff were friendly and attentive, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The guest house was clean, warm and welcoming, with comfortable rooms. If you’re able to treat yourself, suite room 11 is lovely, especially being able to watch TV from the bath. The other rooms are comfortable and relaxing too. Holland’s coffee shop is attached, and the cake there is amazing.

We had a lovely weekend here. It was easy to find, with a spacious room, a nice bathroom and a powerful shower. The bed was really comfy, and breakfast was very tasty. The mountain views were stunning. There are shops and a pub next door, but we didn't hear any noise. Would definitely come back, thank you!

This was our third stay at Lakeland House, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Our room was large and bright, with three windows and a good, comfortable bed. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, with lots of choice and everything cooked just right. Emily and the other girls were very attentive.

My little boy, who’s travelled a lot, called it “the best breakfast ever,” and I have to agree. It set us up for the whole day. Rebecca was especially wonderful, and all the staff were so helpful. Lovely owners too. Thanks for a great stay!
