Purdy Lodge

We came over from North Ireland for the 23 feb.. 2024 events, my Sis doing the Ultra Marathon and me the 10k. There were four of us staying, and the staff across the morning, evening and night shifts were so attentive and welcoming. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and we had so much craic. Thank you for that! The place was quiet and clean, and the food was excellent with a delicious pint of cider. The shower in our room wasn't great, but they promptly gave us a key to room 1, which had a modern shower. You'll need a hired car to get around and see the beautiful sites, beaches and Castles. Highly recommend from the Irish ones.

Comfortable, roomy café and lovely service made this a very happy stop for dinner off the motorway. The toasties were great, and so were the tea and coffee. Best mac'n'cheese I've had in a while. Highly recommended.

All 41 of us were well looked after by the staff at our pre-wedding get-together for food and drinks. Every meal was spot on, and the fish and chips were especially tasty, with a massive portion. We can't thank the staff enough for the fantastic service. Some of our group stayed on site and said the rooms were great. They also thought breakfast the following morning was excellent.

On the bus home we stopped here for a pit stop. The place was clean, the food was nice and reasonably priced, and the toilets were spotless. Service was quick and efficient, with a smile, so the staff do a great job. The car parking looked fine, but the area for larger vehicles needs redoing. It's rough and very uneven, with dirt and gravel.
