The setting is lovely, but the people running Riverside House were truly awful and far more aggressive than I ever expected to encounter. Caveat emptor really does apply here.

I liked the view from this cute little private house, and it was handy for the shops, pubs and town. The host was friendly, the rooms were clean, the wifi was good and the continental breakfast decent. It has a quiet feel, though the bathrooms could use modernising. The cottage needs more electric PowerPoint and the signage should be clearer, as it could be easy to miss. I also would have liked hot chocolate sachets, and individually packed jams would be better for hygiene. The bathroom radiator was dusty and had cobwebs, and the bed felt too soft and springy.

There’s a peaceful spot at the bottom of the garden with seating and a river view, lovely for a quiet rest. For the price, this is a great place to stay. It’s a period house, with all that comes with one, and that’s part of its charm.

I felt at home here thanks to the accommodating owners and enthusiastic staff. The bedrooms were just right for a good rest. For a stay in Norwich, this is one of the best places I've found.

The breakfast selection was really big, and James was so polite and caring. The photos might make you wonder whether it’s worth the money, but every penny felt well spent. Honestly, it’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to everyone I know.
