Ansty Hall

The children were thrilled to find a little treat waiting on their beds. It was such a thoughtful touch and made them feel special. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and had a great range for everyone in our family. Debbie and the rest of the team were so kind, always smiling and happy to chat, which made the mornings even nicer. We had a wonderful family stay at Ansty Hall. Everyone we met, from reception through to the restaurant, was warm and attentive. Dinner at Twine was exceptional, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. You could tell a lot of care went into making it a special meal.

We keep returning for our events because James is so good at his job. He stays calm, handles problems and always finds a way to sort things out. Nothing seems too much trouble, which makes him a bride’s or event planner’s dream. Thanks to him and the whole team for looking after us again at Ansty. See you soon. The staff were supportive, thorough and professional throughout the event, and everyone in our company noticed the care and attention they gave us. The food, décor and cleanliness were all exceptional, and the service was impeccable. If you’re planning a wedding or corporate event, this is the place to go. You’re looked after from start to finish.

A couple of weeks ago, we got married at Ansty Hall, and the day was so special. Chloe, James and the rest of the team did everything they could to make it amazing. The rooms looked stunning, the gardens were beautiful, and the staff were attentive throughout. The food and service were wonderful, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much 😊 xx

The rooms were the best part for us: comfortable beds, nicely decorated and good value. The hotel looks smart and feels quite luxurious on arrival, though it’s in an odd, remote location. It’s a shame the dining didn’t match the rooms, especially since you’re rather reliant on eating at the hotel there. We’ve both worked in hospitality, including Michelin restaurants, and I’ve travelled a lot. The à la carte food came as a shock. It felt dated, like an early 2000s hotel trying to make its food look fancy. The duck was overcooked and chewy, and the cold garnishes didn’t work with it. The beef was underwhelming and old-fashioned too. Pineapple dessert reminded me of the 70s and was far too sweet. Nothing had balance. I can guarantee the chef is very old. Service added to the disappointment. It felt inexperienced, with no proper management on the floor and kids running around. The explanations of the dishes were false and so brief they made it seem like the staff didn’t know what they were serving. At breakfast, one of the older staff members was blunt with us and rude to her team, a terrible start to the day. She’s clearly one of those old timers they can’t get rid of. Breakfast itself was very basic, with no care or attention, as if the aim was just to get it out. It all looked like a lack of management in every department. The rooms were genuinely good, but I wouldn’t recommend dining here.
