Foresters Hall

The seafood was some of the best we’ve had in a while, and the food alone could make the trip worthwhile. We spent two days at Sara and Peter’s lovely hotel, where everything felt charming and like a proper getaway. The location was convenient, and we appreciated the hosts’ tips. The pool adds a Mediterranean feel to this English Riviera town. Warmly recommend.

The staff made us feel like old friends, especially Sarah and Peter, who were such welcoming hosts. They even left breakfast out because they knew we’d be jet lagged after flying in from the US. Sarah could sort out any problem, including my ridiculous drunken needs. The hotel feels like an experience in itself, and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the Island. I can’t wait to return. The beds were super comfy and the rooms so quiet that I had the best sleep in years. Every detail seemed thought through, right down to the teapot and cups tucked in a drawer. The rooms are gorgeous, and the bathrooms have huge baths and walk-in showers. Everyone was friendly and kind. Highly, highly recommend.

The pool area was gorgeous, and I found it hard to tear myself away. I especially liked the art and decor. Foresters Hall has lovely owners right on the property, and everything from the location and rooms to the food and the building itself gets a thumbs up. A real centre of luxury on the cutest Isle of Wight.

I stayed six nights and can’t wait to come back. Peter and Sara have created a place that feels both elegant and friendly, with comfort and thoughtful touches throughout. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The food was outstanding and original, and the whole stay was joyous.
