Julia and Mark were so kind and helpful, and the peaceful garden made the house feel lovely. We’re still thinking about Julia’s breakfast, it was delicious, first rate, and had something for every taste. There’s plenty to do nearby, with Wells just down the road and Glastonbury Tor close enough for a walk to work off breakfast. Thanks for such a wonderful stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

The cottage is cosy and has everything you need to cook for yourself. Wells is only about five minutes away by car, so it’s a lovely spot for visiting the town.

We’d love to come back, especially to see Julia’s dogs again. The house is really comfortable, with a very good bed and a great breakfast, and Julia is a wonderful host. Knowing John le Carre lived and wrote many of his books here makes the surroundings especially interesting, you can see how they might have inspired him.

Breakfast was superb, and Julia made a fantastic vegetarian option. Julia and Mark are great hosts, and the setting is quiet while still being an easy trip to Wells, Glastonbury and beyond. Definitely worth a visit.

The bed was about the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Wells and Glastonbury are close by, with stunning surroundings all around. Julia and Mark clearly put a lot into making guests comfortable and offering hospitality that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommended.
