Newforge House

The food was the standout for all of us. We ate at Newforge House both nights, with a different menu each time, and thought it was some of the best food we've ever tasted. There was a great choice of drinks, and breakfast was lovely and kept us full for most of the day. We spent two nights there and are already planning another stay. The location is a perfect base for exploring Northern Ireland, and John and his team were wonderfully attentive. We were a family of four with children aged 8 and 10, and everyone was kind and accommodating. We enjoyed drinks by the fire before and after dinner, with chess and draughts. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms had lovely hot, powerful showers. Thanks for a wonderful weekend, see you again soon!

Catherine and Collette gave us fantastic service. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and I'd definitely stay again. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, with amazing local produce from John. Highly recommend.

We've stayed four times now, and Newforge House has been perfect on every visit. John is an amazing chef, with an incredible palate, and his dishes are simply spot on. Catherine, Colette, Sylvia and Lisa make you feel welcome, take time to chat, and are always willing to help. Our favourite is the Hannah room, always spotless, with a bed you can sink into. They also make the best Pimm's Cup I've ever had. Thanks for another wonderful stay, can't wait to come back.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view, but the food was the standout. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here last week, and the meal was on a par with food we've had at Michelin-starred restaurants, if not better.
