Premier Inn London Gatwick South

The hotel looks a bit tired, dated, and untidy, though the room itself was clean and fine. I've stayed twice, and Yona and Vilma are why I felt I had to leave five stars. Their customer service was fantastic, and the breakfast, cooked fresh to order, was excellent. They turned what would have been a three-star experience into a five-star review. They're a real asset to this Premier Inn.

The staff were the highlight, some of the friendliest and most attentive I've met at a Premier Inn. Breakfast was great too. The rooms are standard Premier Inn rooms, and the location is handy. I saw some negative reviews, but they seemed to be about other guests. I stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday, and had no noise problems at all.

Yona, who was cooking in the kitchen at breakfast, was the friendliest cook I've ever met. Premier Inn should make sure to keep her, she's a real asset. Otherwise, it's a standard Premier Inn: the room was tidy, the beds comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet given how close it is to the airport. My room was huge, with lots of space for luggage.

The hotel itself was clean, with everything you'd expect at a Premier Inn, and the staff were really nice. But we couldn't sleep. There's an events venue right next door, and on Friday night the party noise, especially the booming bass, went on until midnight. We asked to move rooms, but were told the hotel was full. A move to a nearby Premier Inn wasn't possible either. They gave me a number to call afterwards about a refund. Premier Inn guest services refused to take responsibility, saying the situation wasn't covered by their good night sleep guarantee under the terms and conditions. I usually only review places when I can say something positive, but I had to warn people. Don't stay here on a weekend if you need sleep before an early flight.
