The new extension has some truly superb rooms, and the meals I’ve had here, breakfast and dinner, have been excellent quality for the price. I stay at the Grange in Crawley three times a year and have done for about three years. As someone who’s travelled widely and stayed everywhere from the worst places to 5-star hotels, I think this 3-star hotel does what you’d expect from its category very well. The rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after, and the staff have always been courteous. I do wonder if two earlier reviewers were talking about the same place. Believe them if you like, but perhaps the Grange will be less busy when I need a room.

Free parking was a nice extra, and at £25 per person per night it was very good value. The staff were helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed here a couple of times, found the rooms clean, and slept comfortably. I’ve also had breakfast here on a couple of occasions and enjoyed a beer in the bar one evening. I’ll be back in the new year.

Getting around is easy, with good bus and rail links, and the staff are really friendly. The rooms are reasonably priced, though the hotel itself could do with an update. Parking can be tricky at times because the car park is small.

No blinds on the windows, so you’re left choosing between sitting in the dark or being visible at eye level from the car park. The carpets were dirty, the shower was broken, and the breakfast options were very odd. I wouldn’t stay here.

I called to ask about 20 rooms for two months for my film production company. The person who answered cut me off without listening to the inquiry. I don’t know who hires people like that.
